Gary Beckley

Gary BeckleyPrior to arriving at UP, Gary Beckley served as the associate superintendent of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Portland. He had been adjunct faculty in the UP School of Education, teaching in the Catholic School Leadership Pre-AL program since its inception. Gary earned his his Ed.D. in education leadership and professional practice from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee and holds his master’s degree in education from University of Notre Dame as an Alliance for Catholic Education graduate. Along with his work as associate superintendent, he has served in Catholic education as the principal of Holy Trinity Catholic School in Beaverton, Oregon and Annunciation Catholic School in Washington, D.C., as well as teaching assignments in Nashville, Malibu and Los Angeles. Outside the classroom, he enjoys time with his family and is an avid Timbers supporter, loyal Cleveland sports fan, Spartan racer, weekend woodworker, accomplished pianist, and a former academic all-American college wrestler.
