Nicole Ralston

Nicole RalstonAssistant Professor of Education

“I joined the Multnomah County Partnership for Education Research as a new faculty member, bringing expertise as an educator and researcher. As an experienced classroom teacher, research coordinator, and instructional coach, I relish the opportunity to support our district partners by providing much-needed, district-driven research that will support educational change and improvement. Besides providing real-time research and program evaluation services to Multnomah County school districts, the partnership also builds capacity for sustained research during preparation of the School of Education’s doctoral candidates. These students provide dedicated work time to research and conduct analyses, allowing us to respond to more requests for our expertise and services. Rebecca Smith, a current doctoral fellow, noted, ‘My work is giving me a deep appreciation for the value of meaningful research that listens to the voices of leaders in our school districts.’ Preparing future leaders and supporting educational improvement are the goals of this partnership, and I am so fortunate to be a part of it.”
