Megan Gill

A UP alum, Megan Gill is thrilled to return to The Bluff. Prior to this appointment, Megan served as the West Linn-Wilsonville School District’s instructional coordinator for student services. Megan has also taught English at De LaSalle North Catholic High School, and elementary, middle, high and post-high school special education in North Clackamas and Oregon City school districts. She has dedicated her career to enhancing and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in special education within her capacities as a district equity chair, life skills programming team lead, and member of the NEA Asian and Pacific Islander Caucus. She has focused her research in the areas of sexuality education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, culturally responsive inclusion practices, and addressing disproportionality of students of color in special education. Megan’s educational background includes a B.S. in secondary education and a B.A. in English from the University of Portland, an M.A. in intellectual disabilities and autism from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a certificate of school management and leadership from Harvard Business School. Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree at George Fox University in educational leadership – instructional design and development. Megan lives in the Portland  area with her family and their pet rabbit. In her free time, she enjoys strength training, 90s hip hop, dancing Hula and ‘Ori Tahiti, and traveling with her family.
