Abbey Darus

Abbey Darus completed her bachelor’s degree at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. She has experience in nursing in the fields of public health and reproductive health. Her love of public health led her to obtain a master’s degree in public health at the University of Virginia. Abbey’s interest in education and mentoring piqued while working with various nursing students and precepting new graduates in the acute care setting. She obtained her M.S. in nursing education at the University of Southern Maine and pursued a new direction in nursing. It was during her master’s training that she found her passion for working in the simulation lab. She is a certified simulation health educator. Abbey has educated nursing students in the areas of public health and reproductive health as a clinical instructor, classroom lecturer, and in the simulation setting. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, and kayaking.
