Debbie Smith Lampson

Debbie Smith Lampson graduated from Walla Walla University with her bachelor of science in nursing. She continued her education, obtaining a master’s degree in nursing education from Walden University. During her nursing career, Debbie’s focus and passion has been population health, leadership, and academics. She has served in acute care and home health, as well supervisory and administrative roles. Before joining the VA Medical Center in 2022 as an employee health nurse, Debbie served as an assistant professor at Walla Walla University School of Nursing. At the University of Portland, she will serve as Veterans Affairs Nursing Academic Partnership (VANAP) faculty, launching a new partnership between UP and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VANAP was established in 2007 to facilitate stronger and mutually beneficial partnerships between the VA and schools of nursing across the nation.
