After 32 years as a teacher and educational leader in Oregon schools, Ken Struckmeier is returning to UP where he completed his bachelor of science in secondary education. He also holds a master of science in curriculum and instruction from Portland State University. Most recently, Ken served as executive administrator for middle schools in the Beaverton School District, and as an adjunct professor at Lewis Clark College. With previous experience as the administrator for curriculum, instruction & assessment, and as a principal and assistant principal, Ken was a leader in Beaverton for 20 years. Ken began his educational career as a high school social studies teacher in Florence, Oregon and Hillsboro, Oregon. Outside work, he enjoys cheering for the Portland Timbers, working in his garden, and traveling in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
