Brother Patrick Tumwine, CSC, is a Holy Cross religious from Uganda and is a doctor designate, earning a Ph. D. with a focus in organizational leadership at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. He earned a B.A. in social sciences in 2005 from Uganda Martyrs University, a B.Ed. in chemistry and biology, and a M. Ed. In educational administration and planning from the Catholic University of East Africa, Kenya in 2009 and 2015, respectively. As a compassionate educator, his research interests are classroom supervision, interactive and individualized learning, women’s empowerment, and servant leadership. Patrick’s educational focus is to help students appreciate their unique contributions to building a community of Holy Cross educators, leading to the appreciation of self and others. Patrick focuses on meeting students where they are and guiding them where they should be, being interested in understanding each student’s needs, challenges, and goals. Patrick is committed to preparing students with a global citizenry perspective to respond to the current and future world’s needs. He believes we are all learners and as instructors, we seek to enrich ourselves through our students’ experiences.
