Espresso UP Director

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises and runs the Espresso UP weekly coffeehouse program
  • Supervises barista staff, including: hiring, overseeing events, developing and coordinating work schedules for events, and ensuring timesheets are entered in an orderly and timely fashion
  • Ensures all coffee supplies and cleaning materials are kept in stock
  • Maintains the coffee cart equipment, including cleaning and ensuring proper functioning of the equipment and cleaning dirty rags in the St. Mary’s laundry room after each Wednesday
  • Responsible for ordering coffee beans and purchasing weekly supplies
  • Organizes the outside storage closet, keeping an inventory
  • Promotes and markets the program through various advertising techniques and promotional items
  • Arranges weekly activities and/or entertainment for Wednesday night events.
  • Coordinates with clubs and programs who are looking to partner with EspressoUP
  • Responsible for holding UP Cash and Carry Card and key to closet, tracking inventory, turning in receipts, and maintaining changes in the budget

 

General Qualifications and Requirements

  • Required: Barista experience
  • Required: Access to transportation or responsible for creating a schedule to use ASUP vans
  • Required: Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Required: Detailed-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
  • Preferred: Supervisory experience

 

Time Commitment and Required Availability

  • Must commit to working the full academic year
  • Must be available to work evenings & weekends, including every Wednesday starting at 5:00 PM
