KDUP Productions Coordinator

 

Duties and responsibilities associated with the position

  • Collaborate with KDUP team members in setting goals and objectives for the radio station
  • Collaborate with the Music Department to compile cohesive and curated playlists for KDUP on-air programming using Zetta and GSelector while DJs are not broadcasting
  • Work with Program Director to create and host DJ training sessions
  • Oversee the proper functioning of KDUP broadcast equipment, including microphones, mixers, in-studio phone, CD trays, turntable, etc.
  • Oversee and manage proper functioning of online stream through Audacity
  • Organize, record, edit, and upload regularly update Public Service Announcements (PSA), Promotions for upcoming KDUP events and station identification calls
  • Create and distribute PSA submission forms to collect information from prospective advertisers (clubs, organizations, departments, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Establish collaborative working relationships with KDUP staff to strive for cohesive efforts
  • Assist Promotions Director with video and audio production for website and social media
  • Create an maintain KDUP YouTube channel, collaborating with staff to generate content for distribution
  • Attend KDUP trainings, meetings and events

 

General qualifications and requirements

  • Required: Minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA to apply
  • Preferred: High attention to detail and working within an assigned budget
  • Preferred: Effective, timely, and professional communication to students, faculty/staff, and external vendors
  • Preferred: Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and push heavy equipment on wheeled cart
  • Preferred: Prior experience with music/radio stations, or an interest in learning

 

Time commitment and required availability

  • Required: Attending weekly staff meetings
  • Required: Attending at least 3 volunteer meetings per semester
  • Required: Hold 2 office hours each week
  • Required: All staff are expected to attend and help with set up and tear down for all KDUP events
