It’s your mental health and you have choices! As an active University of Portland student, there are various ways you can access confidential counseling, therapy, and mental health support on campus and beyond. Click the tiles above and below to learn more.

Confidentiality Statement

The Counseling staff values our ability to provide students a safe and confidential place to seek help. Therefore, we will not disclose a student's information (including appointment history and counseling records) to parents, friends, coaching staff, or faculty unless we have signed release from the student.

Students must complete a confidentiality & consent to treatment form prior to their first counseling appointment. This can be found in your secure patient portal under "Medical Clearances."

Commitment to Inclusion

The Counseling Center is committed to providing an emotionally safe, accessible, and compassionate space for all University of Portland students. We strive to integrate multicultural humility and competence into our everyday functioning, firmly planted in the belief that all people have dignity and are deserving of respect. Grounded in this foundation, we support students of all identities including age, gender, culture, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, language, mental and physical ability, national origin, religion, spirituality, size, socio-economic status, immigration status, political perspective, and world view. Our staff is committed to opposing microaggressions, discriminations, prejudice, and all forms of oppression.
