Dr. Downs received his Ph.D. from Washington State University. His area of specialty is clinical psychology. His research program focuses on examining techniques that promote positive development and wellness in individuals in various settings. Specifically, Dr. Downs has conducted research on the effectiveness of interventions used with children who have autism, as well as with individuals who are at-risk due to disability, poverty, or other factors.
