About

Esther Gravis, DNP, RN, CPN, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Portland, School of Nursing and Health Innovations. Esther worked for many years as a certified pediatric nurse before pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. After receiving her doctorate, she transitioned to teaching nursing. Since then, she has taught Pediatrics, Med/surg, simulation and a variety of other classes. Her work includes preparing new nurse faculty for the work of being a nursing educator and working on new simulation experiences for students. She finds joy in working with nursing students and faculty to improve the learning process. Her goal is to find new and innovative ways to improve the learning experience for nursing students.
