About

Fr. Arthur Wheeler, CSC, has been at the University since 1987. During that time he has advised hundreds of students about their majors, careers, and life choices. Known for his unrelenting work habits, Fr. Wheeler is the former director of the Studies Abroad program, and currently an associate professor of history, and pastoral resident in Mehling Hall. A native of Bernardsville, New Jersey, with a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown and Ph.D. from Notre Dame, Fr. Wheeler received the James Culligan Award, conferred annually for distinguished service to the University, in 2005. His teaching specialties are in military history 1789-1945 and modern British and Irish politics.
