Professor Feldman has taught at the University of Portland since 1991. He was the founding Director of the Executive MBA in Nonprofit Management at the University of Portland. Previous to starting this program, he was the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs in the School of Business. His teaching interests lie in the areas of entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, social responsibility, cross-cultural organizational behavior, and nonprofit management. Professor Feldman has published extensively and has presented papers at numerous regional, national and international meetings on both research and teaching topics. He has taught and lectured at graduate business schools in Madrid, Seville, Tel Aviv University, Haifa University and Chernivtzi, Ukraine. Previous to his appointment at the University of Portland, he taught from 1982-1991 at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He has served on several nonprofit boards and was the president of Jewish Family and Child Services from 1998-2000 and 2001-2002. He currently serves on the board of Albina Opportunities Corporation (AOC), a nonprofit focused on providing growth funds for existing small businesses located in low-to-moderate income census tracts that were founded by women, immigrants, minorities, and the disabled. He served as Board Chair of AOC from 2014-2015. Prior to joining academia, Professor Feldman worked in industry for seven years, primarily in marketing and management positions in New Jersey and Atlanta, Georgia.
