About

Kim Vermilya, BSN, RNC-OB, is an Instructor at the University of Portland, School of Nursing & Health Innovations. She made the decision that after 41 years of nursing practice in women’s health, in acute care settings, to help shape the next generations of nurses. Most recently, practicing as an adjunct in the school of nursing  with UP,  she was able to have students in the clinical setting. With COVID she became more focused in the simulation setting.  Kim’s practice is to support students as they become comfortable with the uncomfortable while honoring diversity, equity, and inclusion.
