Dr. Robin Anderson is a life-long entrepreneur starting his first business while a college student. In 1988, he turned his entrepreneurial spirit towards education as Founding Director of the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship of the University of Nebraska where he developed an entrepreneurship program which earned the 1997 National Model Entrepreneurship Program Award and an MBA ranked in the Top 25 University entrepreneurship programs. In 1988, Dr. Anderson was named the Robert W. Franz Chair for Entrepreneurship at the University of Portland where he created the Entrepreneur Scholars Program that is the only educational program to twice be selected for the National Model Program Award. He founded the Franz Chair for Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which has received the NASDAQ Center of Excellence Award and has been ranked in top tier of Entrepreneurship Centers. In 2006, Dr. Anderson became Dean of the Pamplin School of Business Administration and has worked closely with the faculty to develop a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation which has led to graduates becoming preferred hires in their fields and the Pamplin School integrated into the business community. Dr. Anderson has led development of Entrepreneurship Centers in Albania, the Ukraine and Tajikistan; engaged in development of the American University of Central Asia; and has created educational NGO’s in more than 20 countries serving over 400 universities globally. He has received the Appel Prize from the Price-Babson Institute, the Sam Walton International Fellow of the Year Award and the Leavey Award for Excellence for the Freedom Foundation. He continues to hold the Franz Chair in Entrepreneurship and is in his 9th year as Dean of the Pamplin School of Business.
