All forms requiring a parent co-signer must be initiated by the student. Once the student has completely filled out their portion, the parent will receive an email with a link to the partially completed form. Parents then create an account for themselves using the parent email address the student supplied on the FAFSA. Parents may then sign forms electronically, using their birth date and the last four digits of their social security number for identity verification.
