Why does UP have a Diversity Center?
The Diversity Center is consistent with the University’s mission to “prepare people who respond to the needs of the world and its human family.” The Diversity Center allows us to respond to the need of the campus community in all of its complex, interdependent, intersectional, and multicultural diversity. In this way, the Diversity Center is a mission-driven response to student requests, and a long-term commitment to a more inclusive campus.
