We are lifelong Pilots. We are champions for UP’s mission, values, and current students. We stay active with University leadership and engage fellow Pilots to help us bridge campus and alumni life.
The National Alumni Board (NAB) helps the Office of Alumni & Parent Relations in its mission to connect all generations of the UP family through ongoing teaching and learning, faith and formation, and service and leadership. The purpose of the NAB is to foster fellowship and meaningful engagement among the University, alumni, students, parents, and the UP community on the local, national, and global level.
The NAB and the Alumni & Parent Relations staff work together to build creative, collaborative, and supportive relationships between the UP campus community and all graduates in all locations. To help accomplish this, NAB members serve as leaders across the alumni community to create opportunities to engage alumni as lifelong stewards in the University of Portland community by increasing awareness, participation, and philanthropic commitment through teaching, faith, and service.
In addition to advocating for the needs and interests of our alumni to the University administration, the National Alumni Board also recognizes alumni excellence though Alumni Awards and supports future alumni by awarding annual 1901 Scholarships to current students.
