To work towards my CPA license and gain a better understanding of the auditing process.
I would tell my first-year self to seek out as many clubs and activities as possible at the beginning of college so I wouldn't leave with any regrets. Even though four years sounds like a long time, it goes by in a flash and you want to make sure you are getting involved in everything you want to before it is over.
Everyone in the Shiley School of Engineering and all of the various on-campus jobs I've had such as being a Peer-Assisted Learning Facilitator and Anchor Seminar Workshop Leader really helped prepare me for my professional journey. Additionally, the Society of Women Engineers under the leadership of Tammy VanDeGrift made a huge impact on my college career and I would not have been able to gain access to the professional development and leadership opportunities that got me to where I am today without the help of the club.
