What are you most excited about for your Next Port?

I'm really excited to learn about how my service placement's work intersects with environmental justice. I'll be serving with the Low Income Housing Institute's Tiny House Village Program, and I can't wait to learn more about how my environmental background can intersect with the important work they are doing.

What is your favorite memory from UP?

My favorite memory from UP would have to be late night weekend game nights in the Kenna Hall lobby. I always felt so at home there, and everyone always lifted each other up so we felt like we belonged to something bigger than ourselves.

Was there a faculty or staff member, or department that specially helped you land your Next Port?

Tyler Wagner from the Moreau Center helped me learn about JVC Northwest when we went on the environmental justice immersion and were able to have dinner at one of the Portland JV houses. Veronicca Bathon from campus ministry also supported me in discerning post grad service in general, and was one of my recommenders on my JVC Northwest application.
