What are you most excited about for your Next Port?

I am excited to return to England after studying abroad in London my sophomore year. I had such memorable experiences abroad and I am excited to make more memories next year. I also am excited to be on such an international campus at the University of Birmingham and meet students from all over the world!

What is your favorite memory from UP?

My favorite memory from UP is staying up really late in a classroom in BC with my whole intermediate accounting class the night before our first exam. We were super stressed but also having a great time laughing and helping each other study. It was really stressful in the moment but it was also the first time our class of accounting majors really started to bond over these shared experiences. It reminded me that a big reason why I chose to go to UP was the small class sizes and the sense of community and family.

Was there a faculty or staff member, or department that specially helped you land your Next Port?

All the staff and faculty in the Pamplin School of Business have been so helpful and supportive of me as I applied to different grad schools and tried to figure out my next steps after UP. Dr. Reed, the associate dean of the business school, has helped me tremendously to reach my Next Port. She has written countless letters of recommendation for school applications and scholarships and always encouraged me to follow the path I thought was right for me even when other people thought I was making the wrong choice.
