FirstUP Social

In September, we host our annual event, FirstUP. The FirstUP social is a welcome event specific for our first year first-generation students, and is the first opportunity to gather collectively as a community. Current and new students will have a chance to meet other first-generation students, faculty and staff, share conversation and stories, and, importantly, begin building your community at UP.

FGEN Annual Pinning Ceremony 

In April, we offer an end-of-the-year recognition social event for all FGEN students. Graduating seniors are recognized for their accomplishments and leadership within the FGEN community. In addition, we seek to honor other members of the FGEN community for their successes as all depart campus. Finally, students traditionally engage in dialog amongst their peers as well as their invited faculty/staff guests, making for an evening of collaboration and celebration.
