Master of Business Administration in Nonprofit Management (MBA)
Program Highlights:
- Coursework focusing on social entrepreneurship, fundraising, negotiations, and sustainable economics
- Program structured to support working professionals with evening classes offered once a week
- Two year cohort program that brings together aspiring leaders in nonprofit organizations
- Cohorts start each fall, taking classes in succession with the same group of students throughout the entirety of the program, building a network of colleagues within the field

Graduate School Application
Admission Requirements:
- Statement of Goals
- Current Resume
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- The online application will prompt you to provide email addresses for two references. A request will be sent directly to your references and they can upload a Word document or PDF letter.
- Alternatively, completed letters of recommendation may be emailed as a signed attachment to gradschl@up.edu or sent via mail to ATTN: Graduate School, 5000 N. Willamette Blvd., Portland, Oregon, 97203, directly by the reference.
- Official Transcripts (from all previously attended academic institutions)
- Must be submitted directly from the institution or in a sealed envelope given to the applicant directly from the academic institution
- A bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university recognized by the University of Portland is required
- International Applicants; All foreign degrees will be evaluated by International Student Services prior to an admission decision
- International Applicants: Transcripts from foreign universities must follow the above guideline as well as be in English or be accompanied by an English translation certified as authentic
- Official Test Scores
- GMAT/GRE (optional)
- International Applicants: An official score from one of the following English proficiency exams is required.
- TOEFL (minimum score of 88)
- IELTS (minimum score of 7.0)
- Duolingo (minimum score of 110)
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
- International Applicants: Proof of financial support will be required to attend the University of Portland, but is not required for application review
