How much will it cost to be seen at the Student Health Center?

The amount you pay for an appointment will depend on the type of appointment and your insurance benefits. We will not collect payment at the time of your appointment but will bill your insurance. You will receive instructions on how to pay for services when you receive a bill from our billing company.

If you have a plan with a deductible, you may be responsible for paying the full cost of care you receive until you meet the deductible. Be aware that if you have a high deductible, you may need to meet that full amount before your insurance contributes to the cost of your care on or off campus.  Call your insurance company to ask if you have a deductible before receiving medical care on or off campus. 

If you have an HMO plan, services at the SHC will not be covered by your insurance. Please verify the type of plan you have before making an appointment. 

Some services may not be covered under your specific insurance plan (mental health services, travel medicine, sports physicals, etc.). Please be familiar with the benefits of your plan.
