Download Tableau Dashboard Data

The software we are using - Tableau - allows downloading of summary data.  The entire "Dashboard" is usually made up of multiple "worksheets". Worksheets are the individual graphs or tables. You can only download one worksheet at a time. You may need to click around in a graph to get the right data. Clicking on the title of the top left column usually can get you the complete dataset.

Please follow the steps below to download data from Tableau:

PDF Option

If you want to download a pdf of an entire tab on the dashboard:

1. Click on the "Download" button (usually located in the bottom right corner of the screen).
2. Click on "PDF"-> "Download" -> "Download" -> "OK".
3. A pdf version of the data should open in Adobe Acrobat.

Printing the entire dashboard is possible by selecting "PDF". We have designed the dashboard to fit Letter sized paper in landscape layout.

Excel Option

If you want to download an excel file with data:

1. Click within the worksheet (i.e. in the graph or table). The options to download "Data" or "Crosstab" will not appear unless you do this!
2. Click on the "Download" button (usually located in the bottom right corner of the screen).
3. Click on "Crosstab" -> "Download" -> “OK”.
4. An excel version of the data (.csv document) should open in Excel.
