Health and Counseling Center
Some of the services provided by the Health and Counseling Center:
-
A team of on-campus providers partner with students to provide exceptional and confidential services, including evaluation and treatment of illness and injuries and preventative care. Visits with all Health and Counseling Center providers are free. Medications, injections, medical supplies, and diagnostic or laboratory studies are supplied for a nominal fee. Students who have questions, concerns, or would like to make an appointment can call the front desk at 503.943.7134 to speak with a nurse.
-
Confidential mental health counseling is available at no cost to University students. Clinicians provide short-term counseling services for students experiencing a range of concerns. To schedule a counseling consultation and appointment, call 503.943.7134. Same day appointments are also available for mental health emergencies.
-
The University’s wellness education and prevention programs are dedicated to forming the whole person through education and prevention while fostering a culture that supports overall well-being. The holistic wellness model includes physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, and social components. UP’s violence prevention, mental health, and substance abuse programs equip students with information and skills to prevent harm to themselves and others.
