Campus Safety Information for New Students

The Department of Campus Safety provides several services that are important for new students to be aware of:

Transportation and Parking

Vehicles parked on campus from 8am to 4pm on school days must have a parking permit. Parking permits are purchased at the Department of Campus Safety.

All students who bring cars to campus must register cars, whether they park on or off-campus. Freshman resident students may not bring a car to campus without special permission from the Department of Campus Safety.

The Department of Campus Safety has detailed information on other transportation options on their website at the link below.

You may also want to check out the Pilot Express, a student run service that drives students to and from the train station and airport for breaks.

ID Cards

ID cards are issues by the Department of Campus Safety headquarters, located in Haggerty Hall 100. This office is open 24/7, so ID cards can be obtained at any time. In order to have your picture taken for your ID card, you must have  your class schedule, invoice or payment receipt, and a form of government-issued identification with you. More information about ID cards can be found at the link below.
