Favorite place to eat in Portland: Burrito Azteca, it is a great Mexican restaurant about 5 minutes from campus. Great place to hang out and get some authentic Mexican food with your friends, they also have the nicest staff.

Advice for prospective students: Do what makes you happy! This new era of your life can be uncomfortable, but it is also a new era where you get to make all of your own decisions. Try new things, and find what you are passionate about!

Favorite “hidden gem” in Portland: The little beach on the University’s river campus, along the Willamette River. It over looks the beautiful St. Johns Bridge and forest park, it is a beautiful place to listen to music, watch the sunset, and hit a true college student mini-getaway vibe.

Favorite Portland area destination: The Vancouver waterfront, there are so many cool restaurants and a long sidewalk right along the Columbia River. It truly encapsulates the beauty of the Northwest!
