Favorite local weekend activity: I love to play basketball or tennis at Mt. Tabor Park and then go grab some lunch at the Bite on Belmont food carts!
Favorite UP event: My favorite UP event is Unity Ball which is hosted by Latinx Student Union and is a celebration of the various cultures represented at UP. It’s a semi-formal event with student performances, tons of food, and laughter. It’s a beautiful night recognizing the diversity and joy on our campus!
Fun Fact: I accompanied the Moreau Center for Service and Justice’s CORE immersion about community organizing, racial justice, and food insecurity in Detroit, Michigan and a week in Chicago, Illinois this last year. It was the one of my favorite University of Portland memories that was shared with a group of thirteen of us. Email me to learn more about what we were up to!
