Mollie Rutz“I worked with the Congressional Research Service and Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board on many different projects during my internship. I had the opportunity to create documents and presentations to show our clients. One of the most important things I learned from this internship is that the finished product does not adequately show all the hard work put into making the best product possible. There is so much more work done behind the scenes to make our federal agencies work efficiently and productively.

There are so many opportunities to make a difference through the Washington Semester Program. Washington D.C. is a city with a melting pot of different ideas, movements, and policies that make a huge impact on the life of every American. After I graduate, I hope to head back to Washington D.C. and continue to help our government work better for every person in America.”
