Rev. E. William Beachamp, C.S.C.
Rev. E. William Beauchamp, C.S.C., president of the University of Portland from 2004 to June 2014, oversaw monumental changes to the University during his tenure. He was instrumental in the University’s RISE Campaign, which raised nearly $182 million, making it among the largest funding campaigns ever for a Pacific Northwest private college or university. Under his leadership, the University of Portland was ranked among the best ten regional universities in the West (by U.S. News & World Report), and welcomed its largest applicant pools and freshman classes in school history.
