Audio Visual Services (AVS) supports faculty, staff, and university guests in their use of audiovisual technology for classes, meetings, and events.
Faculty experiencing an issue with classroom technology are encouraged to call AVS immediately for troubleshooting assistance at 503-943-7774. If AVS is unable to resolve the issue quickly, an alternative solution will be proposed to minimize downtime and get the class back up and running as soon as possible.
Students wishing to borrow AV equipment will be redirected to the Digital Lab.
Issues with passwords, software installation, or office computers will be rerouted to the Help Desk.

AVS is closed on weekends. For emergency assistance outside of normal hours of operation, you may still dial the front desk phone number to reach the on-call technician.
Faculty and staff may request to borrow equipment by emailing, calling, or visiting the AVS office. When using EMS to reserve a campus location, AV equipment should be requested on the same service order.
Semester-long, repeating orders should be made at least a week before the semester starts, while one-time orders should be made at least 3 business days in advance. All requests are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and equipment availability is always dependent on current demand.
While the maximum rental duration may vary depending on equipment type and availability, AVS equipment can generally be borrowed for up to 1 week at a time.
AVS offers the following portable equipment for checkout:
Borrowing equipment is free of charge for staff, faculty, and campus groups. Labor is also free of charge for requests scheduled during core hours of operation.
Labor provided for events outside of core hours will incur a $25.00 per hour charge with a two-hour minimum.
Events are defined as activities or functions that are sponsored by a group within or outside of the university community and within or outside the scope of support of in-class academics.
If borrowed equipment is not returned to AVS, or if returned equipment has been damaged beyond what could be considered wear and tear of normal use, a charge for the cost of replacement will be issued to the borrowing department. The cost of replacement varies widely depending on the type of equipment.
