The University of Portland and the Franz Center for Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation will welcome Dan Wieden, co-founder & chairman of Wieden+Kennedy, on Wednesday, November 16 at 7 p.m. in the Bauccio Commons on campus. Wieden will present “I'm Here to Make You Fail” as part of the Bauccio Lecture Series. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Wieden has been honored as Oregon’s Professional of the Year, Oregon’s Entrepreneur of the Year, and one of the world’s 50 CyberElite by Time magazine. Founded in 1982, Wieden+Kennedy has become one of the top advertising agencies in the world.
The Bauccio Lecture Series is made possible through the support of alumnus and entrepreneur Fedele Bauccio ’64, ’66 MBA. As CEO and cofounder of Bon Appétit Management Company, Fedele’s leadership and vision have brought sweeping and positive changes to the entire spectrum of the food service industry. For the last twelve years, the Bauccio Lecture Series has brought leading visionaries to campus to speak about their experiences.
