Electrical engineering student Quentin Ward ’17 was one of 60 students from around the country to present research at the annual Posters on the Hill event in Washington, D.C. in April. Hosted by the Council on Undergraduate Research April 25-26, this competitive event gives students an opportunity to explain their research to congressional members and meet their representatives.

Ward worked with Shiley School of Engineering professor Heather Dillon and environmental science professor Ted Eckmann on the research project Effects of Angles on Solar Panel Power Output. During the trip, Ward met with senior Senator Thomas Udall from New Mexico and also visited the historical sites of Washington, D.C., wearing his “Shiley Proud” shirt.
