The showcase will highlight the Public Research Fellows program’s work during 2020-2021. Students and faculty fellows will unveil their projects and be on hand to guide attendees through a variety of lenses for thinking about the theme, Displacement and Justice. Browse through a series of virtual rooms where you’ll encounter and engage with a range of projects.

Projects featured in the 2021 Public Research Fellows Showcase include:

  • A podcast that explores displacement through the experience of first-generation students.
  • A map that uses Portland African American literature to tell local stories of displacement.
  • Choir performance that thinks through displacement with music.

Throughout the event, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas about the projects and the theme. The program invites anyone interested in learning about displacement in its local contexts and beyond to join as the students and faculty fellows highlight this exciting group of projects that use innovative, accessible forms to expand the ideas of what research can look like.
