Pilots Prevent

For so long, we anticipated what it would be like to return to campus and be together again this fall. We embraced the excitement with the uncertainty, the joy with the bittersweet, and here we are, midway through the semester already.
Vaccines and continued vigilance around masking and distancing have made it possible to return to campus and in-person classes, and engage in the fun, community building activities that make college life on campus the experience of a lifetime.
“I’m very proud of how UP community members have come together to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” says Acting President and Provost Herbert A. Medina. “From wearing masks, to complying with our vaccination policy and health and safety strategies, we’ve kept case counts exceptionally low and we’ve shown the remarkable strength of our Pilot family. A special commendation to our students, who have truly led the rest of our community by example. I’m confident that with continued dedication and vigilance, the second half of our semester will be just as successful as the first.”
