As a University of Portland community, we unite in prayer for peace in Israel and Palestine.
We pray for the victims of senseless violence, and for all who have been impacted by the conflict in the Holy Land.
We pray, as well, that leaders will recognize the God-given dignity of all people and work courageously to build a just and lasting peace. As Pope Francis has recently stated, “terrorism and war do not lead to any solution, but only to the death and suffering of so many innocent people.”
Help is available for all community members who may be struggling. Students may contact the Counseling Center, Campus Ministry, or Division of Student Life. Employees may contact Human Resources and/or their supervisor to learn more about University-provided resources.
