Translating our thoughts into words can be hard. Wires can get crossed, things can get misinterpreted, and feelings can get hurt. This group will consider how to communicate effectively during challenging conversations. During meetings, we will explore healthy vs. unhealthy communication styles, learn conversation tips and tricks, and model how to ensure that everyone's voice is heard. Over the course of four sessions, participants will learn about and build skills to have productive conversations about things that matter.
Losing someone close to you can be a deeply overwhelming and isolating experience, especially as a college student. This group is designed to help students navigate their grief by offering support and understanding. In a safe and welcoming space, participants will have the chance to learn about the grieving process, explore and express their emotions, connect with others who are going through similar experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of how grief affects them personally. The group aims to foster healing, connection, and a sense of community. If you are interested in joining this group, please email vickers@up.edu.
