2024-25 Therapy Group & Workshop Topics

It's a brand new year and we are excited to offer new and familiar therapy groups and workshops. Here are some potential topics. Let us know what interests you! Each group will run about 90 minutes and meet weekly or biweekly (every other week) for 6-10 weeks. Workshops are one-time or short-series. Start dates and meeting times to be determined.

Away from Home: Adjusting to College

This process and skills-based group provides a space for exploring and navigating the emotional experience of leaving home and offers a place to connect with others and learn skills for dealing with the emotions and challenges of being away from home and adjusting to college.

Creative & Expressive Arts

This group will utilize creative and expressive arts to explore and process life as you experience it.

Coping Skills

This group is designed to help develop and advance coping skills and promote effective behaviors for dealing with stress, social pressure, and the regulation of complex emotions through mindfulness and evidence-based coping strategies.

Healthy Masculinity

Common ideas of masculinity are based on social constructs and expectations of being a man. Starting early in childhood people observe and learn what is "expected and appropriate" based on gender. This group will consider male stereotypes and explore what it means as a man to allow a fuller range of emotions, behaviors, and beliefs.

Relationships

A group for couples and people in primary relationships to learn and build effective communication and deepen connection.
