The Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center is a welcoming place for those of all abilities. Here are some of our services to help you get the most of your time with us.

"add to cart", follow steps to payment.  Note: If you do not have a locker rental in the current period, you will need to pay in the Rec Center.

Equipment Checkout

Sports equipment for use within the Beauchamp Center is available for checkout at the front desk. There is no charge if items are returned on time and in good condition.

User is responsible for full replacement cost if items are lost or damaged (replacement costs are available at front desk).

Outdoor equipment such as tents and sleeping bags are available for checkout in the Outdoor Pursuits Office. Some equipment is free to use and some have rental fees. A fee schedule is available in the OPP office.

Bikes, helmets, and locks can be checked out on a short-term basis from the Outdoor Pursuits office. Daily bike, helmet, and lock rentals are free as long as the equipment is returned on time in the same condition. Equipment users are responsible for full replacement value of any items lost, stolen or damaged (replacement costs are available at front desk).

Climbing Gym

The Climbing Gym includes a 40' vertical climbing tower and bouldering wall.

Climbing shoes are required and are available at no charge at the climbing gym. Shoes may not leave the building and are due immediately after use.

Bouldering orientation sessions are available throughout each semester. Students must take part in an orientation session and sign a waiver prior to using the bouldering wall. Approved users may use the bouldering area whenever the building is open.

Climbing on the vertical tower requires a UP rec services climbing certification. Classes will be offered throughout each semester - class dates/times will be posted in the facility and online. Climbing wall users must also have a UP certified belayer to use the climbing wall.

Use of the climbing wall is limited to posted hours.
