Required Trainings – All Employees
All employees – full and part-time, faculty and staff - are required to complete trainings on a schedule outlined by the University. Some employees may also need to complete additional trainings based on their job responsibilities.
Trainings are important, in part, to meet compliance expectations at the federal and state level, to provide knowledge required for an employee’s position and responsibilities, and to contribute to the care and safety of the University community.
The trainings below are found in Moodle. Employees will need their login information for PilotsUP for access to the app Moodle. New employees will receive a welcome email with additional information related to these required trainings.

Mandatory Reporter of Child Abuse – Additional Training
All University of Portland employees are mandatory reporters of child abuse at all times, not just for concerns that arise during or at the workplace.
A child is defined in Oregon as any unmarried person under the age of 18 years old. This means that if an employee suspects, witnesses, or has child abuse reported to them, they must make a report to the Department of Human Services or law enforcement, including 9-1-1 for immediate concerns.
All employees are required to complete a training to learn more about this obligation to help keep children safer.
