Outstanding Faculty Mentor In Undergraduate Research

This award, established in 2018, is presented annually by the Provost's office to recognize the work of a faculty member engaging undergraduate students in collaborative research projects that immerse the students in scholarly activity performed by academic professionals. It is awarded to faculty members who have mentored numerous students in research experiences that have resulted in several co-authored publications and who have been strong advocates for expanded opportunities for student researchers. By viewing pedagogical opportunities as extending beyond the confines of the classroom, faculty mentors exemplify the educational philosophy of the Congregation of Holy Cross and its emphasis on educating the whole person: head, hands, and heart.
