At the University of Portland, our Pre-College Co-Curricular Workshops are a dynamic and engaging way for high school students to build valuable skills outside of the classroom. These sessions are intentionally designed to complement the academic tracks while providing opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and spiritual enrichment.
Held on our beautiful campus in Portland, Oregon, the workshops offer hands-on experiences that reflect the University’s mission to educate the whole person—mind, heart, and hands. Participants will dive into topics such as servant leadership, faith and community, identity exploration, and pathways to purpose. Each session is led by experienced UP faculty, staff, or local professionals passionate about mentoring the next generation.
Students can expect a welcoming environment that encourages exploration and reflection. Through small group discussions, collaborative projects, and interactive presentations, participants gain tools that help them navigate high school, prepare for college, and explore future careers. These workshops foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and connection to something bigger than themselves.
Our co-curricular workshops help students stand out in their college applications while also deepening their sense of self. By combining leadership, faith, and service, we create a space where students grow in confidence and discover their calling.
Whether you're seeking to grow spiritually, become a better leader, or connect with peers who care about making a difference, these workshops are a transformative part of the Pre-College experience at the University of Portland.
