Curious what a typical day looks like during the University of Portland’s Pre-College Program? Each day follows a balanced schedule that mirrors the rhythm of college life—mixing academic discovery, interactive workshops, and community time. From early breakfast to evening programming, students experience a well-rounded routine that encourages learning and independence.

Whether exploring Portland, connecting with new friends, or diving into hands-on learning, participants will be immersed in a vibrant, supportive environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and personal growth.

A weekday schedule looks similar to the following – except on days when co-curricular or course trips off-campus are planned:

Day 1 (July 6):

  • 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Student Check-In & Move-In
  • 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM: Family Lunch
  • 4:00 PM – 5:15 PM: Program Meet & Greet

Day 6 (July 11):

  • Afternoon: Volunteer with the Moreau Center

Day 7 (July 12):

  • All Day: Off-Campus Activity with Outdoor Pursuits

Day 8 (July 13):

  • All Day: Off-Campus Activity (Explore Portland)

Day 12 (July 17):

  • 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM: Workshop: “How to Write Your College Essay”

Day 13 (July 18):

  • 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Program Showcase with Families
  • 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM: Lunch 
  • 3:00 PM: Departure
