All traditional-style residence halls close on Friday, December 12th 2025 at noon. They reopen on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at noon.
Students who need to stay late in December and/or return early in January will be able to register their requests on the Housing Portal beginning in October. Late stays and early arrivals are charged at $55/night.
The Haggerty & Tyson Apartments will remain open and accessible to students during the break for no additional charge.
UP juniors, seniors, and graduate students living in traditional-style halls can also stay on campus during the break for no additional charge but must register their dates of stay through the Housing Portal.
All residence halls, including Haggerty & Tyson Apartments, close on Friday, May 1st 2026 at noon.
Graduating seniors can stay until Monday, May 4th at noon so that they can spend time over the weekend to celebrate their milestone with family.
