University COVID Response and Other Resources:
- ICE/SEVP announced in April 2021 that the guidance given in March 2020 will continue for the 2021-2022 school year.
- While ICE/SEVP continues to allow students to maintain F-1 status from outside of the country, at this time, the University is offering limited virtual classes for most undergraduates. Undergraduates students should plan to attend at least some courses in-person.
- Graduate programs are a mix of in-person and virtual options. For students entering the U.S. for the first time on an Initial I-20, it is necessary to have a least one in-person or hybrid course. UP will work with students on individual basis to meet these requirements
- While visa services have largely resumed, processing times are longer than usual. Provide needed documentation to ISS as quickly as you can to give yourself enough time to schedule visa appointments before the start of term. You can find estimated processing times through the state department site.
