International Student Scholarship

The University of Portland awards several international student scholarships to incoming and current international students.  The scholarships are awarded at the time of admission (there is no separate application) and recipients will receive award notification with the University of Portland acceptance letter.

Scholarship awards to new international students are based on academic merit. Applicants will be considered for a range of award amounts based on their cumulative incoming GPA, and when applicable, SAT or ACT test scores for first-year students. Applicant grades from international curriculums will be converted by a staff member from the International Student Services office or other acceptable credential evaluation services.

International Student Scholarship Award Ranges

Exceptions to the awarding process would be determined in consultation with Admissions and the Financial Aid Office.

Undergraduate International Students now receive same Merit Awards as Domestic Students*

Accepted students are automatically considered for merit aid. These are awarded to students who qualify based on an evaluation of their grades, and strength of academic program. Students who qualify are notified with their acceptance letter.

More information about the merit awards available at the University of Portland is available here.

*Merit awards do not include federal funds or grants.
