Elementary SUN

Elementary SUN Volunteers build relationships with elementary school students at César Chávez and James John Elementary through playing games, tutoring and doing activities together after school.  It is a safe, supportive environment for kids, and they love having UP students come hang out with them!  SUN Programs operate Mondays through Thursdays and volunteers are able to go whatever day/time fits with their schedule and do not have to stay for the entire time slot if they have conflicts. 

We ask that students commit to volunteering at least once a week on a consistent day for a full semester.  The schools are close to UP's campus and students can walk, take the bus, or borrow a Moreau Center vehicle to drive to programming.

James John hours: Mondays through Thursdays 2:00-3:30/4:00.  

César Chávez hours: Mondays through Thursdays 2:15/30-4:45.
